Wellfleet Preservation Hall is restoring an historic building located at 335 Main Street. Wherever feasible, we will use existing materials; the tin ceiling, wood wainscotting, original wood floors and stained glass windows.
The new addition will create a fully accessible, multi-functional community cultural center that will be able to host a wide variety of activities and events.
Flexibility of use will be a guiding principle so that both the upper and lower levels of the hall can be used independently of each other.
By connecting the neighboring gardens we will create a unique and beautiful venue for many special events. By opening the building to the landscape we plan to engage the outdoors, the natural light and the views. This will connect the interior and exterior spaces and spatially transform the building.
