Art Works ExhibitWednesday, June 5th, 2013 • 11:00 am

An exhibition of student and mentor works from the 16th annual “ArtWorks” School to Career program. The program for the 2012-2013 school year – a partnership between the Cape and Islands Workforce Inv

Mentors were selected according to the students’ areas of interest, with disciplines including painting, photography, illustration, ceramics and graphic design. “ArtWorks” gives students who are considering a career in the arts a real-life work experience as an enhancement to their academic studies. ![]() Truro Center for the Arts presents: Craig S. Open Mic – Third Wednesday Every Month in Wellfleet
The Feed Your Love Open Mic, a free public event, is held on the THIRD WEDNESDAY of every month, year round, The Feed Your Love Open Mic is now i
n its fourth successful year. We began as a small gathering of friends and musicians in the popular Orleans coffee shop, Cape Cup. The vibe was right and the coffee was good; soon the place was packed with musicians, poets, and visitors looking for a place to gather and enjoy a taste of local music and community. Sadly, after three great years our hosts retired and the coffee shop closed, but timing was on our side and we moved the whole event into the newly restored Wellfleet Preservation Hall without a hitch. Our new home has performance stage with professional lighting and sound, excellent acoustics, a snack bar with beer and wine, and plenty of room for everyone.
The Feed Your Love Open Mic is a tolerant and supportive, diverse, engaging and, most of all, entertaining environment (whew!). We host musicians who sing and play everything from old timey folk to rock-n-roll; acoustic guitar solos to improvisational jazz sets; first-time performers (ages 6 to 86) to retired professional musicians. All are welcome and made to feel at home. If you are not already a member of our musical (and poetic) community, please stop by on the third Wednesday of the month to listen, to play, or just to say hello.![]() Provincetown International Film FestivalThursday, June 20th, 2013 • 2:30 pm
