NAMI Family Support Group

Free monthly meetings, every 4th Tuesday of the month
NAMI Family Support Group is a program that will provide a safe place for families of loved ones with mental illness. This group will give families a judgement-free environment to share their stories with others who are empathetic and respectful of a very difficult and painful situation. The meetings will be facilitated by Richard & Scott Finegan, who have worked closely with NAMI Cape Cod for years. 5 Wednesdays 4/26 - 5/24, $60 - REGISTER HERE Taught by Julie Mockabee The German Art School, The Bauhaus, that existed between the two World Wars, was a melting pot of innovation in modern art and architecture.This course will take a look at the history The Bauhaus, its founder, Walter Gropius and his contemporaries. We will explore the International Style of Architecture and how it ultimately relates to America and Cape Cod. We will talk about the beginning of the modern style of architecture and how students and teachers of the Bauhaus eventually brought these modern ideas to America and how those ideas filtered through the country and what impact they had on Cape Cod. Classes will include slide lectures, short films, hand-outs to take home, hands-on experiments in the International Style techniques and activities themed on the preliminary course ideas from the Bauhaus.  Participants will be encouraged to bring their imaginations and also be ready for discussion. In addition to Kripalu Yoga, she has studied and practiced several forms of Yoga including Iyengar, Yin, and Svaroopa Yoga.  She has 30 years of experience practicing psychotherapy and mind/body medicine. In her yoga classes she strives to integrate and share her knowledge of health and wellness. 10th Annual Garden Party & Auction

The calendar tells us it's officially spring and with that comes our Tenth Annual Garden Party and Birdhouse Auction!  The Birdhouse Auction was one of our very early fundraisers to restore the building and it has become a beloved annual event that now supports year-round programming at the Hall.  We have expanded the scope of the event this year to include all manner of Garden Art (think paintings, sculpture etc...) trips, tickets and of course, birdhouses.        We have pre-made, ready to be designed birdhouses available at the Hall if you are interested in designing a birdhouse.   If you are interested in creating or donating original work (painting, sculpture, garden art), please let us know so we can include you in our listings.  If you are able, willing, interested in making any other type of donation (read trips, tickets, cottage, services) please contact us and we will be forever grateful.    And...whether you make something or donate something...we surely hope you will mark your calendar now and be sure to join us on Saturday, May 27...we will raise a mimosa in honor of our good friend, Del Filardi and welcome summer together!

 Alissa Krieger-DeWitt will guide you through a super fun, super effective Zumba dance class.  Zumba takes the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval style, calorie burning dance fitness party. Zumba fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. A total body workout, combining all elements of fitness - cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility and boosted energy. Nauset Jazz Swing Night
