BUY TICKETS HERE  This is the second installment of our INSIDE THE PAGES SERIES: Readings and Conversations with some of our favorite authors. Upcoming events include: August 14 with Michael Cunningham,  August 27 with Alyssa Abbott and September 4 with Wally Lamb.     James Carroll, “one of the most adept and versatile writers on the American scene today” (Denver Post),  is the author of ten novels and seven works of non-fiction, including the National Book Award winning An American Requiem; the New York Times bestselling Constantine's Sword, now an acclaimed documentary; House of War, which won the first PEN-Galbraith Award; and Jerusalem, Jerusalem: How the Ancient City Ignited Our Modern World, which was named a 2011 Best Book by Publishers Weekly. He lectures widely, both in the United States and abroad. In 2014, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt will publish his eleventh novel, Warburg in Rome, and Viking will publish Christ Actually: The Son of God for The Secular Age, his eighth work of non-fiction. He is Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence at Suffolk University in Boston, where he lives with his wife, the novelist Alexandra Marshall. James Carroll’s Boston Globe columns won the 2012 Scripps Howard National Journalism Award for Commentary. BUY TICKETS HERE    Wally Lamb is the author of four New York Times best-selling novels: Wishin’ and Hopin’, The Hour I First Believed, I Know This Much is True, and She’s Come Undone.  He was twice selected for Oprah’s Book Club. His fifth novel is We Are Water. Lamb also edited Couldn’t Keep It to Myself and I’ll Fly Away, two volumes of essays from students in his writing workshop at York Correctional Institution, a women’s prison in Connecticut, where he has been a volunteer facilitator for the past 14 years.
