How many guests will the Hall accommodate?
Wellfleet Preservation Hall (WPH) can accommodate up to 150 guests. Our outdoor garden area also provides a lovely celebration or dining space with the addition of a party tent for larger parties.
Can we have our ceremony at Wellfleet Preservation Hall?
Absolutely! Both interior halls as well as the landscaped garden provide several lovely settings for your wedding ceremony. There is no additional ceremony fee as long as everything takes place within the agreed-upon rental period.
Who prepares the food at Wellfleet Preservation Hall?
WPH does not provide catering, however, we maintain a close working relationship with several full-service caterers who are intimately familiar with the layout and flow of events in the Hall including our fully equipped commercial kitchen. Each of these caterers has a reputation for providing high quality food and excellent service. We believe that you will be able to meet or even exceed your expectations by using one of the caterers on our list. If, however, you have an existing relationship with another caterer, we will be happy to meet with them regarding your reception.
Does Wellfleet Preservation Hall serve alcohol?
Yes, Preservation Hall has a full liquor license and will provide all alcoholic beverages including specialty drinks.
Will someone from Wellfleet Preservation Hall be present at our event?
Your event will be scheduled and organized by Wellfleet Preservation Hall's Event Coordinator. The event coordinator will be on-site during your entire event to ensure that you, your caterer and your guests have everything they need from WPH.
Is off-street parking available?
There are two parking lots just across the street from WPH. During the busy summer season we may recommend parking coordination with a private vendor for offsite parking and shuttle/valet be secured.
Can we bring in decorations?
You are welcome to bring in flowers, photographs, favors, centerpieces, battery-operated candles or other items in keeping with the theme of your event. In order to protect the historic hall, however, we must require that no staples or nails are used and that the walls are left as they were found, free of damage. Decorations must be removed at the end of the event.
Is our celebration limited to certain hours?
Events must end by 11 p.m. Clean-up should be completed so that the Hall can be locked by 12 midnight.
Can we throw rice?
For the safety of your guests and the environment, throwing of rice, confetti, or other materials is not allowed.
